About Me

I  grew up in a family where compassion, creativity, and communication shaped my early years. Both of my parents were medical professionals and creatively inclined. My dad was a physician who created stained glass pieces as a hobby, and my mom was an R.N. with a wonderful eye for interior design. I’m the brother of four terrific sisters—each drawn to careers centered on helping others, and two with strong artistic abilities.

My own path followed a similar thread of communication and artistry. I earned a B.A. in English from Boston University, grounding me in the power of the written word. When it comes to the spoken word, I spent several years in Toastmasters, including leadership roles, and studied theatrical improvisation. Together, these experiences helped me understand what works in both prepared and spontaneous communication.

I trained at the New England School of Photography, graduating with Honors in Portraiture, with additional study in web and graphic design. I later ran my own successful portrait photography business for more than 25 years, honing not only technical skill but also the ability to help people feel comfortable, confident, and authentic in front of the camera.

Taken together, my education and experience in photography and communication sharpened my eye for visual flow, pacing, and detail, and trained my ear in how images and words work together to create a clear and compelling message.

I’m warm and patient, and I pay close attention to that which helps you feel at ease as we work together, offering clear guidance and steady encouragement. Over the years, I’ve helped clients feel more comfortable on camera, refine how they talk about their work, and express themselves with greater ease.
